The Dreamer’s Pain
Central Idea:
The poem reflects the pain and struggles of students who dream big and work tirelessly to prepare for competitive opportunities but face failure despite their efforts. It highlights the emotional turmoil of shattered dreams and unanswered hopes while emphasizing the strength and resilience that emerge from such challenges. Ultimately, it inspires the dreamers to rise above their setbacks and keep moving forward toward a brighter future.
With dreams so bright, they dared to soar,
To reach a place unseen before.
Books and notes, through sleepless nights,
They chased the stars with all their might.
Each step, a hope, each breath, a prayer,
A life of purpose, beyond despair.
The world was theirs, they thought it true,
Until the storms of fate broke through.
No doors unlocked, no calls to come,
Their hearts grew heavy, their voices numb.
“What of the dreams I built with care?
Why does the world seem so unfair?”
The pain of effort left unseen,
Of shattered hopes where light had been.
A silent cry, a soul laid bare,
The weight of failure hard to bear.
Yet in their tears, a strength does grow,
A deeper fire begins to glow.
For even in pain, they’ll find their way,
To brighter dawns, to a kinder day.
So dreamer, rise, though shadows fall,
Your journey matters, you gave your all.
The world may falter, the path may bend,
But your courage
will guide you till the end.
